Back in March, I took a trip up to Manchester for a couple of days for an event with Frock & Frill for their SS16 range, which is a brand that makes some beautiful handmade dresses that are perfect for a special occasion, wedding, fancy ball you may be going to, or even for ascot or the races!
We used the trusty google maps to get us to this well lit, relaxed environment, which is located in China Town in Manchester. It wasn't hard to find with the big "Bali Health Lounge" sign outside along with a few other massaging spas and different types of places along the street. We were welcomed by this beautiful calm environment filled with tribal/jungle interior and beautiful lights all around the lounge. We were taken upstairs to the massage chairs and given a menu filled with all these different types of herbal teas, including hot chocolate which I obviously went for as I'm not a total fan of herbal tea even if it is a really good anti oxidant, we all know chocolate wins sometimes...
Frock & Frill kindly sent us to the Bali Health Lounge to try out their amazingly comfortable massage chairs along with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate! Which I had to say, was delish! The massage chairs we (me & one of my friends) got to try out for an hour, and my gosh...my back definitely needed that massage! I tend to have a lot of tension in my back and shoulders, so this little session was well and truly needed!
Above was the area we were located in for the hour we were there. You had a choice of different settings, which I went for therapy mode for the first 15 minutes, then relax mode the another 15 minutes. After that half an hour, our order for our hot chocolates were not taken, so we went down to the reception to see if we were supposed to order it there, they apologised for this delay and sent the Customer Service Manager up to us and introduced herself and made sure we were having a nice time and to see if we were alright. I have to say all the staff were very friendly and you definitely received service with a smile, regardless of that minor misunderstanding.
I would definitely recommend this place if your ever in Manchester and just want that time to relax, get a facial, massage or even a manicure, it's so nice and peaceful and a lovely environment to be in. I felt the lighting was perfect for the environment, and lighting is an essential for me in places like this for them to actually matter, and the fact they took this into consideration is brilliant!
Payot is also a brand that is used within the Bali Health Lounge and I was lucky enough to try out a few samples of their range they use and bring them home with me to see how they work in my skincare routine. Please let me know if you would like a review on the little samples I got to try out, in the comments below!
Overall, I certainly enjoyed my time at Bali Health Lounge, regardless of that misunderstanding with the hot chocolate! If you're ever in China Town in Manchester, definitely give it a visit!
