The excitement I had for attending this event was pretty high, until I got there and was quite disappointed by what we encountered.
The event was at the Olympia Hall in London where, we walked in to get our press badges and then had them scanned. We then walked into a hall full of all kinds of different brands that were beauty related.
As we started to wonder around the different stalls I started to notice a pattern, that it was based around nails, make-up. massage chairs and technology and mainly beauty technician based products and brands. Yet we still had a walk around to see if there was anything at all we liked, luckily we found a lovely jewellery brand stall called 'Celebrity Rocks' where I bought a lovely pink and silver heart shaped ring for £10, which I was pretty happy with.
We saw brands such as fabbrows, Elemis, OPI, Benefit, NYX and many other big and small named brands. Melody Claire (the brand) was also there. I've bought one of their products that was a hair removal pad kits before, and I ahve to say, I regret buying it as it ended up irritating my skin and found it quicker to just use a razor to remove unwanted hairs around my body. Just a heads up there guys if you have slightly sensitive skin and come across this product by Melody Claire.
I did try out an awesome massage product by Donnerberg which really helped my tense shoulders! I think a Spa Day is in order! Sophie (one of my best friends who also attended the event with me) was quite happy with being able to try this product out!
I also spent £40 on trying the teeth whitening service that was there. I had overall a good half an hour instead of 15 minutes as the light shut off for some reason - probably from being used too much. But at the end, it was quite patchy, but they said was normal. The stuff in it was made up of mainly bicarbonate of soda. After the event, they were still quite white, but I noticed that it wore off the next day! So not something I would recommend!
Overall, because I'm not interested in becoming a beauty technician, this event was rather irrelevant for myself and my blog, but at least I know that now! I will definitely be trying to attend the Beauty Blogger Awards next year though as, funny enough we couldn't find it until we left the venue and realised it was next door! Oops! Oh well, there's always next time!
Have you been to the Olympia Beauty Event before?

I'd love to go to Beauty Con but this beauty event is more like the clothes show but full of beauty brands instead of clothes :)
DeleteThat looks like a great event to go to! Wow!
