Fashion | How To Style An Oversized Shirt

Okay, so we should know by now that I hate buttons and have koumpounophobia . Yes, I've challenged myself before with shirts with buttons, but an actual shirt dress with buttons? Definitely not something I ever thought I would try. Yet I tried it out in collaboration with Boohoo. They said they were going to send me a 'secret dress' so I had no idea what it was going to be or look like. So when it arrived, I was actually horrified - no lie. But I thought, you know what? I'll take the challenge and see how I'll style it.

I honestly had no idea how to style it, open? Closed? Tucked in? I tried it with so many outfits one night and no luck, but them it came to the day of shooting this piece and BOOM! I had the idea of this outfit! As this is an outfit I would actually wear again. Layering with a camel coat as it was particularly cold and windy - thanks Storm Doris. This coat I literally adore and wear so much, as it's so versatile!

There's so many others ways I could of styled this shirt dress, but considering how my personal style includes a lot of 70's style pieces, so it wouldn't of felt right if I didn't add in some black flares, that are actually from Boohoo that I bought as part of a two piece set. They hug my figure in such a flattering way!

Adding in a crop top from 304# clothing that I actually cut. It's a great piece to have actually, especially us bloggers that are constantly on Instagram hehee! See the dress itself has wide cuff sleeves if you have a look on the site, but these weren't my style, neither did they suit me as the dress is too over sized for me, even though it's a size 8, So I rolled them up as I definitely think it's more 'me', plus it makes this classy outfit more casual.
