Shackerstone Family Festival

Ever heard of this festival? I know we're WELL past the festival season and on our way towards Christmas now, but I really wanted to mention this particular place that we went to for a day out in case anyone was interested in going next time it's on in September next year. You may think it's your average get drunk and party to the acts in the line up, but not, (even though there is one tent that has a bar and entertainment on) this one is completely different, apart from the fact its in a field still.

Shackerstone festival was filled with lots of different stalls, including charity stalls, bath bombs, fudge, tombola's (which we won nothing on! it's not all bad though, as our money we spent on it went towards breast cancer). There was a mini fair ground, lots of different cars - new and old. Me and Reiss found a really nice looking Mustang (picture below)! We met lots of dogs too - perfect for me and Sophie as we just love them!

During the day there were different shows and events going on, from chain saw log sculpting, medieval themed jousting - I got really into this surprisingly! There was supposed to be a motorbike stunt show in a massive moving wheel, but it was cancelled due to it being so wet - there was me in a dress and converse! There was also lawn mower racing too - that was quite amusing!

Alongside the event was a canal with different boats selling things. The only thing I bought was Unicorn Fizz for the bath, chips and a few goes on the tombola. Regardless of the weather, it was quite a nice, different day out! Great for families and children too!
