This show will have you rockin 'n' rollin' right out of your seats, movin' your feet and clapping to the beat! Cheesy opening I know, but I just couldn't help myself. The Buddy Holly Story I honestly didn't know whether this was going to be my ticket to the dance floor, but it sure was! I didn't realise how many songs I knew of Buddy Holly's! Of course, a lot of his songs have been remade by artists which is mainly how I know them, but also for my love of older music and the fact I grew up with all the music way back in the 50's to now of course. You wouldn't think a 22 year old girl would know and love all these classic songs would you? Well that's something you now know about me, I love anything with all the classic music between the 50's-80's, 70's to 80's being my favourite songs era.
The cast were absolutely brilliant and nailed every single character, accent and costumes down to a T. The American Texas accent was absolutely spot on throughout the show which made you feel like you were actually in America throughout the performance. If you want to be transported to America in the 50's, this is definitely a show for you! It's not only good for the older generation of course, but more of us younger people should appreciate all the amazing music that was made before our time as it's just incredible how music was made in those days. It was such a pleasure to have been invited to watch this show and feel so engaged with the cast members, who where so engaging during the entire performance!
Buddy Holly's story was truly incredible and so lovely to experience a tribute to his amazing rock'n'roll career that clearly was a brilliant time during the 50's. To feel transported back to an era that you weren't even born in made it that bit more special that a true legend could still live in this day and age through music. Absolutely tremendous show.
