Christmas is right around the corner which I am actually really excited for this year, as I'm planning on doing it a little different this year. I've decided to shop small this Christmas and all the gifts I buy will be from small independent businesses. I put up a few stories on my Instagram (@isobelceline) a few weeks back asking about small businesses & asking if they wanted to be featured in this gift guide and my goodness was I surprised at how many of them wanted to be part of it! This made me SO pleased, as that's brought us to this Ultimate Shop Small Christmas Gift Guide so you guys can find all the small independent businesses I've found & the ones that have wanted to be involved so you can find all of the lovely small shops in one blog post. From eco-friendly products, to paintings, to clothes and even childrens gifts! It's been a really hard year for everyone, so to give back to those who need it, shop small this Christmas. Pasoluna* - A beautiful eco-friendly brand that creates lovely gift sets for those who you know will be grateful for a present filled with items that are better for the environment and more sustainable - I would certainly be happy with a gift set from someone for Christmas from this brand.

Brushbox* - A fab idea to add into stocking fillers this year is bamboo toothbrushes. Brushbox is a subscription box brand that sell eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes. I've even converted to using these toothbrushes daily now as we don't want to keep having plastic toothbrushes, binning them and then added more plastic that we don't need into the environment.

Hello Plewsy - A wonderful eco-friendly brand that creates cards, wash bags, kitchenware etc. With adorable illustrations design on the products. I've got my eye on the cute tea towels!

Unnaty - A vegan friendly, organic and made in the UK sustainable brand who sells products from fashion, bath & body as well as home & lifestyle products. Perfect for the person who loves a good vegan brand who gives back to the environment.

Mission Better - A spaced-themed sustainability brand who does starter packs/gift boxes and planet friendly products. An easier way for people to be more sustainable in everyday life and cut down on plastic, but also offer something a little bit fun too.

Been Sacks - Individually handcrafted with love and respect for a planet that has finite resources, using recycled and repurposed material wherever possible. Been Sacks bags are made from old coffee bean sacks, hence the name "Been Sacks". £1 from every bag sale will be donated to the Woodland Trust. - What a lovely idea!

Just Because...You Love It - Another lovely sustainable plastic free living brand who sell all sorts of products fit for lovely Christmas presents. They also do THE cutest gift sets!

Century General Store - A small, independent retailer run by a couple with diverse heritages. Care is at the heart of everything they do. The owners wear their hearts on their sleeves and have spent the last few years adapting their family life around their son's autism journey, slowing down and learning to bring more nature into their days. That's why so much of their ethos focuses around care, respite and nourishment.

Ellis James Designs* - This brand does many different designs of bags, from make up bags, to toiletry bags, they are perfect to pack into suitcases with the square shape of them, perfect to take away for a weekend break etc. Perfect little gift if you ask me and lovely quality also.

Obsidian Hollow - This lovely gothic jewellery brand I actually purchased a few lovely pieces from for a family member for Christmas and are so cute. If you have someone who loves gothic pieces this is definitely for them.

Click Chain* - I honestly love this independent brand as they sell chains for your handbags, purses and even glasses! I used the glasses chain to attach to my mask so that when I'm not wearing it I can have it hung around my neck and I won't lose it. Click Chain do so many designs and are a perfect little gift for someone who loves a different style of accessory or just loves handbags in general - check them out for really cool chain designs.

Livvy and Rose - A lovely accessories & jewellery brand for women & girls, with gorgeous little pieces perfect for her this Christmas. Perfect little gifts for stocking fillers also!

YaYa Accessories - A beautiful elegant handmade jewellery brand who creates unique pieces from a family owned business.

Fellows - A jewellery auction brand in Birmingham where you can bid on beautiful jewellery pieces. Like a jewellery style eBay!

Made of Carpet - A very unique bag brand that creates bags & purses out of carpets - how unique! Also the perfect gift for someone who loves a Mary Poppins bag.

Pivot - Jewellery made by homeless Londoners. A beautiful way of supporting homeless people from purchasing from this jewellery brand.

Cheesies Popped Cheese* - Looking for some snazzy snacks to add in as stocking fillers? These cheese packets are perfect for cheese lovers. They come in so many different styles of cheeses as well. Perfect extra little bits to throw in the stockings or gift bags.

Thomson & Scott* - Looking for that different bottle of wine or fizz this year? Thomson & Scott do a range of drinks from vegan prosecco to chardonnay and it's all alcohol free! Also low in carbs and calories - perfect bottle for those who don't want to drink alcohol but still be part of the drinking process over Christmas. Plus this brand is dedicated to being more sustainable with recycling which is fab!

Honey Buns* - I'm so happy to have this brand included in this gift guide as they do the cutest little gift sets, cookbooks and are just lovely all round. The cookbooks are such a fab idea for those of us who have found our inner bakers this year. They also do some delicious little cakes that can be gluten free and vegan - perfect!

Skinny Food Co. - One of my all time favourite brands who do vegan & vegetarian products. From sauces, to snacks, syrups to jam. They are a perfect brand to buy from & even make a food hamper with for Christmas. Perfect for those in the family or friendship circle who are vegan or vegetarian or are just looking to have less sugar in their diet. Say It With Champers - A fabulous personalised champagne & prosecco business where you can get all the goodies for the friends or family who love a classy bottle at Christmas - what better way to show your love and appreciation at Christmas by getting the bottle personalised.

Ma Baker London - Give a bread class this Christmas, it's the gift that keeps on giving. Small, hands on, fun classes with an award winning baker in her home kitchen - fabulous idea! I know I've always wanted to know how to make bread.

Makan Malaysian - Sells all the different Malaysian food for the foodie on your present list that loves to try new foods!

Siainte Sauces - We all like a little bit of booziness at Christmas time. Siante Sauces are delicious luxury boozy sauces inspired by cocktail flavours, they are guaranteed to 'bring celebration to your table' the brand states. Handcrafted in small batches on the Isle of Lismore.

Inyamat - African Cuisine hampers perfect for not only gifts, but around the festive period for buffets!

Fava Bean Miso Making Kit - Pretty cool cooking kit to give to someone who loves to try new food or who is always cooking up something in the kitchen.

Kuka Coffee - Have a friend or relative that loves Expresso Martini's? Kuka Coffee do an insane Expresso Martini Gift Kit with all the cocktail goods.

VonHaus* - This fabulous brand does some incredibly beautiful and classy kitchenware pieces. As you can see in the photos I have the Stand Mixer*, Bamboo Serving Tray* & the Cheese Board*. Such beautiful gifts to give this Christmas for maybe a new home owner, someone who loves to bake or who even loves a bit of cheese and crackers - I certainly can't wait to start using these products in my new home!

For The Love Of North* - Do you love Newcastle or know someone who does? This lovely independent brand does some lovely home pieces that remind you & give you tips about where to visit in Newcastle. Me & Adam will certainly be visiting Newcastle at some point after seeing this brand, as it's made us more interested to go!

RealiTEEmoments - Novelty gifts for life's less graceful but relatable moments. This brand has also recently just started out so send some love!

Olive & B - Soy wax candles are one of my favourite things and this lovely independent business does not only the soy wax candles, but also the melts - certainly adding these to my Christmas list!

Tiger & Co - Another beautiful soy wax brand that creates beautiful smelling candles. Also did you know that soy wax candles are vegan? I'll have a whole pamper full for Christmas please!

Wild One & I - A lovely personalised homeware brand that does mugs, baubles, flags, cards, stockings etc with really cool quotes as well. The mug that says '2020 sucked but yay Christmas!' is my fave & is definitely on my Christmas list!

Couvert D'amour - For those who love beautiful tea sets, also a gorgeous present for new home owners - I know I'd love a tea set for my new home! They also do beautiful tableware & homeware.

Cutch Candles - Candles that feature exclusive illustrations on their packaging, with bright colours and imagery of love and friendship. This makes the experience of receiving a cutch candle feel like an embrace from start to finish.

Plant Pet Club - Know someone who is obsessed with plants? This plant subscription brand does houseplant subscription boxes perfect for the plant addicts - what a fab gift for Christmas!

Wick + Wonder - Soy wax candles are definitely a very popular gift to give at Christmas, as who doesn't love candles over Christmas time! This brand makes hand poured soy wax candles with such beautiful packaging.

Pam Smart - This lovely lady creates beautiful aprons, prints for the home & even does art workshops - I've certainly got my eye on the floral aprons! Definitely go and have a look at her vibrantly beautiful pieces.

The Body Shop - Now you may be thinking of the actual shop, but there is a lovely lady called Manisha who sells their products for a discounted price! I'm part of her group on facebook and keeping an eye out for the fab discounts she does - join here if you'd like to get some bargain goodies for christmas!

L'Occitane* - Of course this isn't really a small brand as who hasn't heard of this stunning brand. They've started to do beautifully presented gift box sets for Christmas & this skincare one is stunning. It's called the Overnight Rest Collection & retails at £55, lovely gift to maybe yourself or a loved one who loves this brand.

Nectar & Bumble - A lovely brand who sells lovely gifts, skincare, bath products & so much more. They help awareness of the plight of bees. It's a wonderful way of supporting the bees as they donate 10% of their own profits to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust - how wonderful!

Nuud - If you follow me on instagram you would of seen me absolutely rave about Nuud's products. They sell a cream style deodorant in a little tube. A little goes a long way with Nuud, all you need is not even a pea size to rub onto your arm pits & the product lasts 3-7 days under your arms to keep the sweat & smell away. Perfect little stocking filler for Christmas. This product is also vegan!

Soap Yard - We all need soap, but adding a bit of luxury with artisan vegan soap is the extra boujee present to give to someone at Christmas. Check out Soap Yard for gorgeous looking and smelling soap - brilliant to add to hampers too!

Grabby Bag - The perfect gift box brand that creates boxes filled with all the toiletries essentials that can be sent anywhere, whether you need products to take to the hospital in an emergency, take on holiday etc. This little Empowerment Gift box that Grabby Bag does is a great gift for anybody this Christmas.

Taylor Made Therapies* - A natural skincare brand working with plant based ingredients to nourish and protect your skin from the chaos of the outside world. A skincare brand I'd certainly like to try out! They also do hand lotion & hand wash gift sets too.

Okiki Skincare - Do all kinds of products from lovely hand soap & body bar gift sets to soy wax candles. This is also a lovely black owned business!

Nereus* - Beautiful natural hair care in a plastic free bottle - now that's worth looking into. This brand has beautiful taste in design as well as formulas for products. Nereus do sets with Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash with a stunning luxurious fresh design. Check out their website to see how good they are!

Woo Woo* - Us girls are always in need of some love down below, especially during that time of the month, so why not treat yourself or a girlfriend to the Woo Woo Pamper Your Peach Gift Set - I can honestly hands down say that the wipes are a god send! They smell and make you feel so fresh.

Bunch Skincare* - A natural plant based beauty brand that sells body and face oil filled with all natural ingredients. A lovely present to give to anyone in the family really that loves to take care of their skin, especially when it's a natural plant based product. Vegan skincare lovers for sure.

Fab Little Bag* - A lovely little gift to add into a stocking for girls. Fab Little Bag is a eco-friendly way of disposing of your period products, just pop them into the little bag, seal it and pop it in the bin. Such a better way of disposing of period products.

FM Perfumes - These perfumes are ALL over instagram recently & I have a lovely friend who does incredible discounts on these designer dupe perfumes who I recently purchased from to buy a perfume for my Mum from. The list is endless of the types of perfumes she sells, I'll certainly be buying more for myself at some point from her!

Skin Science - A vegan and cruelty free skincare brand which is a scientifically formulated range that contains active ingredients at concentrations that work to protect, rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. Good present for someone who loves their skincare!

Clothing


Inabela* - This lovely face mask brand creates beautiful face masks which are not only designed beautifully but the quality is stunning! I have the black and white face mask that they kindly sent out and I was so surprised at how brilliant the quality is. Made by artisan weavers from the Philippines who have been displaced by the pandemic as they lost their main markets. Please give your support to them!

Sew in to you - Love simplistic embroidery on clothes or know someone who does? This lovely brand designs not only t-shirts and sweatshirts, but also adorable little flags, tote bags & wash bags. I've got my eye on the Herb embroidered tee!

Sleep By Grace - Sleep By Grace is an affordable sleepwear brand with a difference. They wanted to create a luxury feel good brand without the feel bad price tag. Looking for some sassy pj's for a snazzy someone? Sleep By Grace do some fabulous designed pyjamas for the girl who loves to stand out. Drop her a DM if you want to know more about the prices & products she sells.

Charlotte Dunn Designs - Looking to buy more sustainable pyjamas for the person who cares a lot about the environment? This brand does beautiful simplistic designed pj's for the one who loves the simple life & cares for the planet. Made from 100% organic cotton & are 100% vegan - perfect!

SD Clothing UK - The clothing brand fit for all the family! For him, for her or even for the kids. SD Clothing sell streetwear pieces with pretty cool designs and quotes on, this one from the mens section I found pretty funny. This brand is also organic & ethical which is brilliant! I'll be buying a t-shirt for my step dad from this brand.

Alexander Clementine - Looking to be more sustainable when giving someone new underwear for Christmas? Then this brand is where you want to get them from. Super cute colour ways in different styles of under wear - I certainly would like the whole shop!

SPARKLEBUTT - Have a friend or family member who loves sequins? Get them some crazy and cool trousers from this brand - they'll love them!

Wild Like Her - Fun, bold and colourful designs printed by a lovely Mama of three for those who wish to express their inner wild and keep their identity alive. The clothing Wild Like Her makes are also ethically made which is brilliant for not only the environment, but for those who love a gift that also supports the environment.

Recollectyou.com - This brand does a wonder audio gift for those special loved ones you can't see during this time. They create audio messages that you can send personal voice notes to for a special event, Christmas time and even just to cheer someones day up. Also a lovely idea for the times we cannot visit our loved ones because of lockdown and social distancing. Such a beautiful idea.

Simply Noir - This amazing website is filled with small black independent businesses that you can search for all your fabulous gift ideas in one place whilst also supporting black independent businesses - I LOVE this idea!

Happy Motherhood VIP - This group is a coaching group for mums who struggle and need help and guidance to become unstuck and move towards their goals - brilliant idea for mum's who are struggling during this time.

Oxfam Unwrapped Gift Card - From a pack of super seeds (£5) to a pile of poo (£10), and even safe water for an entire community (£50), Oxfam Unwrapped is the perfect gift for those wanting to give back this festive season, and the person who has everything. What a wonderful gift that is to give back to the world!

The Dark Imp Coaster Games* - A fab little game to play over the festive period with the family is these coaster games. They do so many random different games for anyone to play. These beer mat coasters would also be pretty cool to play in a pub with friends any time of the year in fact! They retail at £24.99 for a pack of 120.

Purdy & Figg* - Sick of the same smelling hand sanitiser this year? Why not treat yourself to some lovely smelling ones instead for Christmas? Or even to add in gift bags as an extra little gift. Purdy & Figg have designed some lovely scents from Frankincense & Myrrh, to Wild Woody. Really unusual smells but lovely for Christmas. They do a lovely gift set also here for £23.99.
