autumn winter 2024 trends

Autumn has arrived and I could not be more excited for the autumnal tones and cosy elements being added into our everyday outfits. Bringing you the top trends being brought into the fashion industry this Autumn/Winter season.

Burgundy

This has quickly became the colour of the season. My social feeds have been basically turning into this colour as I’ve seen so many people styling it. Within knitwear, skirts, shoes and accessories, this colour is surprisingly versatile to style, especially with neutrals, black & brown shades. You’ll see me styling this trend in my Chloe boots I’ve had for a couple of years that I bring out every autumnal season.

Suede

A material of the season that again I’ve been seeing everywhere. The high street stores are bringing suede pieces out in every form possible. I’ve seen some incredibly lovely suede bags about alongside suede jackets which are the perfect accompaniment to an all white & tan outfits in my styling opinion. The suede trend gives such an effortless trendy look to any outfit you pair it with.

Leopard Print

The pattern that seems to come back round like a boomerang every season. We saw a lot of this in the summer fashion this year and it’s brought itself along for the ride for autumn as well. I’ve seen many creators and influencers styling this trend in a lot of jeans & jackets which do look fabulous, but not my style unfortunately. Maybe it’s for you though?

Tweed

I am a sucker for tweed anything in the autumn and through to winter. Especially within the country style side of things. Imagine field coats, trousers, blazers, vests, you name it, this season it’s available. One of my favourite places for tweed pieces that are of high quality, have to be Holland Cooper, Fairfax & Favor and Joules. Incredible quality country brands I have to say.

Green

I am very pleased to hear that green is a huge predicted trend for autumn/winter 2024, and with it being one of my favourite colours all year round, I’m very happy about this. Think khaki green coats, forest green dresses, ugh the dream.

Oversized Coats

This is a no brainer of course. Oversized coats seem to come back time and time again. Giving that Scandinavian look with a chunky scarf wrapped round your neck with an oversized coat, match it with some Uggs or trainers & you’ve got yourself a wrapped up look.

Cowboy boots

The western is inspired looks are back & I feel like this trend never left us. Cowboy boots I feel have never not gone out of style, especially with the festival season in summer making cowboy boots the footwear of choice a lot of the time. Bringing the cowboy boots into autumn winter is a no brainer. Styling with knitwear and a mini skirt, or flared jeans with the boots poking out at the bottom with an oversized coat, you’ll be looking super on trend with these.

Cropped Jackets

These jackets seemed to creep in a lot last year, especially with the cropped trench making its debut. Everyone loves a trench so this was a crazy trend last year that the fashion influencers loved. The classy cropped jackets I am so here for though with the boucle material and gold button details are my go to style of cropped jackets.

Bag Charms

Who remembers the faux fur Pom Pom trend a few years back? Don’t worry it’s not back, but the designers are pulling out their design skills and bringing out lovely bag charms to suit all bags. Have a browse on Amazon for a more affordable bag charm for the season if you want to try this one out and see if you like it.

Capes

The classy cape I love to see every year come out. The effortlessness of how these pieces add such a chic style to an outfit. Especially with a pair of trousers and knitted top, cinched in with a belt, the perfect classy yet chic outfit for autumn.
