Travel | The Best Places To Visit Whilst In London

London

I've been to London 3 times now, and that's only this year! The first was for London Fashion Weekend, as I won 2 tickets with H&M for a competition on Twitter. The next was for a sight seeing weekend with one of my best friends and to meet up with a blogger called Cat from WhatCatSays who I actually first met through a Christmas Card Swap project last year and since we met in London, we've become such good friends! The next was a Live Colour Club Event with Schwarzkoft, where I attended the event with Cat and we had a nice catch up, as well as meeting one my favourite bloggers; CH32 - Charlotte Hole!

Anyway, so during my time of me being down in London, I visited some pretty unforgettable sites and places.

Covent Garden

Byron Burgers

Covent Garden

If you love all your luxury pieces, like make-up, food, shoes, clothes or even Laduree macaroons - that I just had to treat myself to! We watched some pretty hilarious street performers whilst we were down there - which those of you who follow me on Snapchat (isobelceline), would of already seen all the antics that happened hahaa! There was also an unusual market going on while we were there too. Your never short of eating places around Covent Garden either. When I met Cat there for the first time, we went to Byron, which are the home of a proper burger - and they sure were! Even though it was a little pricey, but not as pricey as other restaurants we looked at, it was a pretty good choice of places to eat at!

London - Big Ben
London - The London Eye

Westminster

Home of the London Eye, Big Ben, The House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and of course the river Thames running through it. When me and my friend arrived in Westminster, we walked out of a tube station to be looking up at Big Ben. I have to say, I certainly had a 'wow' moment when I stepped out of the tube station. The amount of selfie's we took in front of it and on the bridge though...about 15! As you walk across the bridge, you will clearly see the London Eye. Now, I knew the London Eye was big, but not THAT big! As you walk further towards it and stand next to it, that's when you start to see, and wonder, how the heck was this thing built?!

Downing Street, London

As you walk further round Westminster, like we did as we wanted to really explore the city, we came across a place that had special guards on horses outside some massive gates that lead to a massive building, which I really cannot remember the name of now...? Walking further down that road, we found Downing Street, where a fair few police were guarding the gates. Even further down that road, we saw the House Of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. It's a brilliant place to visit for people who love being a tourist and photographing historical places.

Sloane Square

Sloane Square

Sloane Square is close to where London Fashion Weekend is held at the Saatchi Gallery, which I attended in February this year. I would go again to London Fashion Weekend, but with more of my friends. Anyway, I personally love this area because it is the home of my favourite Liz Earle store! The women that work in there are so lovely and helpful! They helped me and my friend to pick the best products for own skin and hair type. There's me leaving with a big bagful of goodness spending a fortune, but really pleased with my purchases. As you walk out of Liz Earle, Zara (one of my other favourite places to shop) is literally 15 steps away. Along with Calvin Klein not far past the Saatchi Gallery. The whole area is full of different shops and restaurants. It's like a mini Oxford Street and Covent Garden in one!

Oxford Street, London

Oxford Street

One of the most busiest and well known streets in London, but full to the brim with different shops! From Primark to Zara and Aldo to Topshop. There's so many, trust me, I walked the whole street and was starting to get sick of the sight of how many there was and of the same ones! If you are a shopaholic and definitely want to put a big dent in your bank balance, then Oxford Street is definitely for you!

Oxford Street, London

Hyde Park

This is such a beautiful place to walk through in London, especially when you step out of a busy street or tube station into this beautiful country park. Myself and one of my best friends took a very long but pleasant stroll through it for the first time to see what it was actually all about. We actually sat near Hyde Park Corner with a McDonald's for a bit and watched people ride through on bikes and hire bikes. I'd love to hire a bike out and ride it around Hyde Park. There was also pedal boats along the lake, which I was dying to have a go on! Maybe next time - for sure! There was also people racing on roller blades too, which we found quite amusing because of what they were doing. It was just a nice sight walking through there and seeing a quieter side of London.

Where's your favourite place to visit in London? Have you been before?
