Midi skirts have been everywhere since they hit the high street hard this spring. So this is a trend I actually wanted to try out and have a go at myself. I have a few midi skirts, one being silk and pleated (pink of course), another being silk with animal print on, and the third being this cute polka dot floaty number that I honestly have been wearing so much lately.
If I'm honest, you could say I was living in this skirt at one stage, because as soon as I'd worn it and washed it, I was moving more towards this skirt than anything else at the time as it was so versatile with it being a monochrome colour and the fact it could literally go with anything, t-shirt and sandals or mules in this case. I was loving this particular combination of a t-shirt with it, as it gave more relaxed but classy vibes about it. I love how the Gucci belt always in any outfit ties everything together so nicely, with the statement gold against black leather always wins. I was looking on instagram and saw how nice a style Hello Thalita has with her polka dot skirt! She has such a nice Instagram and fashion sense, but also has a blog too! Check it out here. I love getting inspiration for outfits on Instagram and saving them to different boards on there just like Pinterest.
As for my shoes, or should I say mules, these are my first pair of mules I own! I honestly really liked the mule shoes trend, but no matter how many different colours and styles I tried on, they just didn't suit me - BOO! Thankfully I came across this pair by chance in a charity shop for only £5.99 I'm sure they were, brand new and fitted so nicely even though they were one size bigger, who says you can't find treasure in a charity shop. Plus they look like Valentino style shoes, so it's defo a double win on this find.
I hope midi skirts don't go out of fashion anytime soon, as they are so comfortable, look classy no matter what and they are so easy to match up with clothes and accessories. This particular polka dot one is so elegant and floaty, which is perfect for those warmer, sunny days. As for my necklaces, this is a combination I have been living for, you won't see me in any other necklace set at the minute. Especially the lush gold seashell choker from Primark I bagged for a bargain of £3. Seashell jewellery is all the rage right now, if you haven't already noticed all over Instagram and I am loving it. I've always loved seashells since I was a kid, so this is a childhood happy memory created in a way.
