Relaxing at the spa is something I need to do more often! Me & Adam went for a spa break for our anniversary and loved it! Was so nice to just relax and take your mind off everything. We didn't have any treatments unfortunately but, when the offer of having a facial (and a very unusual one at that!) at The Skinthetics Clinic Coventry I was so excited as I haven't had a facial in years! So let's see how it went!
I went on the weekend of the grand opening and launch of the new Skinthetics Clinic in Earlsdon, Coventry, where I was greeted by all of the lovely staff members and lots of lovely treats! Which I unfortunately didn't get chance to try, due to me being in such a rush that day! But it started off with such a nice, peaceful, calm and very well decorated clinic with such a nice clean and fresh look about it, as you would expect of course, but this place had such nice furniture throughout the building! Some of the furniture I wish I could have in my future home! Velvet chairs are the ones!
Anyway, so we went through the forms, as of course this is a necessity at every clinic, and then the lovely staff took me for a tour around the 3 storey high building. There were quite a few different rooms which involved different types of machines. Beds and chairs in each one of course.
Moving onto the facial itself...The staff member who did this facial on me was very knowledgeable of all the products and devices she used within the facial! Even chatted to her about Milan, as that's where she was from! So, the facial involved quite a lot of different serums, like hyaluronic acid, and a lot I can't remember, but there was so many used. A vacuum styled suction machine was also used, which really helped to cleanse my pores and reduce black heads! A beaded machine was also used around my face which I honestly cannot remember what it was called! It was nice and warm, but felt the tiniest sharpness to the beads, which wasn't too uncomfortable and was an unusual feeling. An oxygen foaming face mask was also used, which foamed up then was massaged into my skin, which was really nice and relaxing.
It was so intriguing how much technology was implemented into this facial! It was so relaxing and I felt like I learnt something about serums whilst I was there. I always use a morning and night serum. Mornings I use the Elizabeth Arden Skin Renewal Booster and at night the Estee Lauder Night Repair Serum - absolute saviours! But this facial honestly made my skin so beautiful! Thankfully I've always had quite clear skin, but this was just the cherry on the top and made my skin SUPER glowy! Literally like that sparkle emoji I use so much! I didn't wear make up the entire day I was that comfortable in my own skin! I don't wear much make up anyway, but this made me feel so much more confident with a bare face!
The facial was finished off with a eye contour treatment, which helped to treat bags and dark circles. Dark circles is something I've always suffered with, so I'm glad I got to try this out! A few serums were gently rubbed around my eyes and the above eye mask was placed over my eyes, which I wasn't quite sure at first what it was, as of course I had my eyes shut. There was music playing in my ears and I wasn't quite sure where it was coming from until I was shown this when it was taken off. There was also a massager inside the mask which was such a cool gadget! The whole thing itself was pretty snazzy! I just wish I was shown it before it was placed over my head rather than after, for peace of mind, as I did feel rather anxious during the eye contour massage. If I was shown it before hand I probably would of felt more at ease about the experience with the eye mask.
Other than that, I really enjoyed my time there! I was there for a good hour and a half as I was chatting a lot and just trying to enjoy the experience! I'd definitely recommend you taking some time out for yourself and booking an appointment at The Skinthetics Clinic! Also, all photos within this post are unedited for you to see how the products looked naturally on my skin and for how my skin looked during the facial. I also vlogged my experience for those who prefer to watch videos on these kinds of things!
