New In Beauty For Spring

Spring is definitely here, even if we have entered the April showers time of the year. But during this time, especially because of lockdown, I've been embracing my skin a lot more. I've been trying out a lot more products during this time and have been trying to use them up as much as I can due to having so many new products, I buy way too many products that's for sure! But also I have kindly been gifted a few items in this post also which is so lovely! So let's dive in to what products I've been using lately.

Jacqln Hill X Morphe Ring The Alarm Palette via Cohorted*

Eyeshadow

One of the nicest, pigmented, smooth applying eye shadow palettes I own. This palette came as part of one of the Cohorted boxes (subscription box service with luxury brands), and I first tried the pink colours together, as you can see the first shade I have been using the most. I've been using this palette a bit too much and neglecting my other palettes I love this one so much, I've just been reaching for it the most since I received it.

Nail Varnish & False Nails - Primark

Nails

We aren't getting to the nail salon anytime soon, so nail varnishes are becoming our new best friends am I right girls? I've still got some of my gel nails on 5-6 weeks later surprisingly (of course mainly broken and pulled off), but they are still there! I cannot wait to treat myself with a fresh set of nails, I may just get a French manicure, or full on bright colours. Either way, I'll be using nail varnish and false nails up until then. I have a major stash of Primark false nails in my nail kit, as they are super cheap and easy to put on and at least last 2 weeks at a time depending on what you do with your hands, as in not putting them in water too much (but we can't avoid this anyway). So I will certainly be refreshing my nails with nail varnish or a fresh set of falsies during this time.

Benefit Brow Contour Pro | Make Up Revolution Ash Brown Brow Pen | Make Up Revolution Brow Fixer

Brows

Brow products, ever since I had my eyebrows laminated, I've been more interested in trying out new brow products. I bought the Benefit Brow Contour Pro clicky pen on the way to Disneyland Paris, and I loved it until it ran out faster than I thought it would. So as nice as this product is, it does not last long if your using it every single day, it will only last around 2-3 weeks, which realistically money wise is pants.
So this is where I bought the Brow Pen from Make Up Revolution to try out. This also was a little disappointing as it is a clicky pen again, but this one pumps the product out, and if you click to much it will pump too much out, so half the product is wasted. It's decent on the brows, but I don't entirely love this product.
My favourite thing to use though is the Brow Fixer Gel. I wear this stuff on my brows every day to make my brows nice and bushy/fluffy. As I don't always like to fill them in, especially since having the brow lamination, this product has been my go to.

Garnier Organic Micellar Water | Simple Biodegradable Wipes | Skinkissed Eye Patches

Skincare

I've been looking for more vegan and cruelty free products, especially when I was shopping in Superdrug with Lizzie on our last day out. I love the Garnier Micellar Water, but the organic one is so much nicer! It comes in such nice packaging, is vegan and cruelty free, but also has such a lovely scent to it that smells so natural. It also removes all my make up, as if it gets into my skin and lifts the dirt out.
The Simple Biodegradable Wipes have been a recent favourite, they are kind to my skin, remove the majority of my make up and the best thing about them is they are biodegradable. If I was to continue to buy make up wipes, as I actually rarely buy them due to the fact they can't be recyclable, I would definitely buy them again.
The Skinkissed Eye Patches I am yet to try, but the amount that is in the pot actually surprised me as there's loads of eye patches in there kept all moisturised in the pot. I really need to have a proper pamper night and try these out with maybe a bit of multi masking as I've not done that before.

Erborian Glow Creme | Beautifully Nourished Vitamin ACE Moisturiser* | Superdrug Vitamin C Super Booster Serum*

Skincare

Moisturisers are something I never have enough of and is something I rarely buy, as it's the product that lasts the most in my skincare routine. The Glow Creme is one of my favourite Korean moisturisers. I was sent a sample of it a while back and repurchased it since as it was that good! The creme itself gives your skin a iridescent glow, reminds me of a unicorn glow actually, which of course is the reason why I love the product so much.
Beautifully Nourished is a brand I've not heard of much, but I've been intrigued to try it out. I was kindly sent this product but haven't had chance to try it out yet as I like to use up other products I've already opened before I move onto new ones. But I'm looking forward to trying it out.
The Superdrugs own brand Vitamin C Super Booster has been a god send in my beauty routine lately, and I will definitely be purchasing this again in the future as my skin has never looked so good since using it! Vitamin C is definitely one of the nicest things I've noticed that I've used that really makes a difference in my skin.

Mila Simone Vitamin C Serum* | Clarins Lip Oil

Skincare

I'm yet to try out the Mila Simone serum, but as it is a Vitamin C Serum and I'm already using one, I've given it to Adam for the time being to try out as he loves his skincare as much as I do, and a serum isn't something he had in his routine, and it's made such a difference to his skin, making it look more youthful and glowing.
Clarins Lip Oil has been an essential part of my skincare routine as it hydrates my lips so much better than a lip balm. It moisturises, hydrates and makes my lips look so much more healthy. It's an expensive product but so worth the price as it last such a long time, and this is my second purchase of this as well.

Bold Uniq Purple Shampoo*

Hair

I created a video trying out the Bold Uniq Purple Shampoo, and the intensity of this product is so powerful that it made my hands purple. But this isn't a bad thing, as it really lifted my hair in colour as you will see in the video here.

Banana Body Yoghurt | Treaclemoon Spring Flowers Shower & Bath Gel*

Body

Treaclemoon are by far one of my favourite shower and bath gel brands. They create the most lovely smelling products that I always pick up in the shower or put in the bath rather than any other product. They do so many different scents and colours that are only like £3 in Tesco! Such a nice product to use in the shower or to make bubbles in the bath with. The Spring Flowers one is my recent favourite, as of course it's the perfect one for spring.
Ever since The Body Shop discontinued the Banana range, I was gutted. Especially the banana body yoghurt pots. I absolutely loved those products to the point I bought 4 pots of the stuff so I could indulge my skin in it for as long as I could. But now I've found a similar version that was in the pound shop! So this banana body yoghurt by XBC is a good substitute for it, but the thing I couldn't find anywhere about it was whether it was vegan and cruelty free like the body shop one. So not too sure on that, but it's not a bad dupe.

Hi Glow Body Cream (Discontinued) | Tan Luxe Tanning Drops | Bondi Sands Glow Shimmer One Day Tan | Bondi Sands Gold Lights

Tanning

There's so many good tanning products out their, but these few I've been using recently are so nice. The HI Glow Body Cream unfortunately is discontinued now which I'm gutted about, but I got the last tub of it for 80p in Superdrug, this is my second tub of it now, as it's lasted me ages! Such a shame it's not being sold anymore as it's the nicest glow cream I've ever tried. Wish it was being brought back out again, hopefully in the future.
Tan-Luxe Drops have been my favourite serum to use with my moisturiser when I've fake tanned. It gives me such a lovely golden dewy glow the night after using it. A bit of a pricey product, but worth investing in if you want to tan your face, easier than rubbing the tanning mitt all over your face hoping it doesn't leave streaks on your face.
I really want to try more Bondi Sands products, especially their tanning milk, heard so many good things about this brand. Their Glo range is no exception, this is my 3rd repurchase of this product but in difference shades as I love them so much. They are so nice to mix with the body cream and smooth over your skin. The beautiful tanned glow it gives off is just stunning. Like when you've put body oil on to tan in the sun, but of course your tanned with it. The smaller products in their range are also good to rub into your collar bone and shoulders area, as well as to use on your face as a highlighter, the product is so versatile which makes it even better value for money.
