Winter is certainly on it's way with these colder nights and frosty mornings, and the one thing that I've been happy about is having an electric blanket that keeps me cosy and warm during these cold times. I'm writing this as I have my electric blanket setting on 3 so I get warm rather quickly as it's set to be a frosty night! The gritters have been out so the electric blanket is on. I'll explain more about why you need an electric blanket, not only does it warm you up like a toasted marshmallow, it costs so much less to have your electric blanket on, than it does your heating would you believe! I'm going to walk you through the benefits of having one in your bed and why.

There's so many benefits to having an electric blanket, I didn't even know how much I needed one until I received this one, as if your like me and find it difficult to get warm and feeling cold all the time, this is THE perfect thing for you. The electric blanket has 3 different heat settings which can keep you nice and toasty for you to select the right temperature for you. Even if you are cold throughout the night, the blanket can be left on all night as it is designed to not overheat so you don't have to worry about that. The blanket is also machine washable - of course detach the plug and you can put it in the washing machine. As for putting the blanket on your bed, it just easily attaches to your bed with a few strings tied together under your mattress and throw your bed sheet/top sheet over the top of it so the remote is hanging out for you to use. So the Silent Night Electric Blanket is not only cost-effective, as it only costs around 1p a night to use your electric blanket, but it's also energy efficient and a brilliant heating hack to save you money.

Recently sales of electric blankets have gone through the roof by 400%, including more students buying them to save themselves money of course. And how could I forget to mention, it has 3 years warranty on it as well. Alongside the fabric of the blanket it's super soft and cosy for a snug sleep environment. The electric blanket comes in sizes; single, double & king. If you buy your electric blanket soon, it comes with a promotional offer that includes a little Silent Night Hippo Cuddly Toy - how cute! The blankets retail from £22.99 - but remember all the money you'd save on heating! Wow I'm SO warm now in my one.

Did you know that a good nights sleep is so important to you? It relieves stress, supports your immune system, memory improvement (I definitely need more sleep then as my memory is shocking at times!), lowered blood pressure, improved mood, making you smarter and keeping a healthy heart - which we all need. I've noticed since I've had this blanket on my bed for at least a week or more now that I have actually slept so much better than usual, as I usually wake up in the night with my mind being wide awake full of thoughts and not stopping to try and get back to sleep. So in a way, this electric blanket has actually been a god send in helping me get back to having a full nights sleep and feeling much better, as well as cosy for when I wake up. If I get at least 8 hours sleep then I'm happy, how long do you usually sleep for? I'm so happy that I have this now for when me and Adam get our house as it will save us SO much money on heating when we have our house.

So what do you think? Would you buy an electric blanket? I certainly won't be without one now!
