Theatre | Friendsical The Musical Review - Assembly Gardens Coventry

Are you a fan of the 10 season series of Friends? Then this is THE musical for you. I was kindly invited to see Friendsical The Musical at Assembly Gardens in my home town of Coventry & was delighted to watch this well loved & talked about show. I do love a musical & was excited to witness this brilliant performance. So here’s how it went.

To put the scene into perspective, we were greeted with the typical American Coffee shop set that is of course famous in the series Friends. The show is basically a comedy parody version of the series filled with amusing references & hilarious commentating throughout the show.

The base line of the story is mainly around Ross’ life & how his one true love Rachel runs back into his life. After his many divorces he thinks that Rachel running back into his life is fate alongside many storylines with Chandler, Monica, Phoebe & Joey, as well as few other familiar faces from the series. A very humorous show filled with adult jokes & fabulous throwbacks.

Friendsical is being performed at Assembly Gardens until 31st July before heading onto Edinburgh Fringe 5th-29th August, Southampton 5th-7th September, Cardiff 8th-10th September, Bristol 12th-13th September & many more places. Check out the website here to see if they are performing near you.

Overall it was a fabulous show and I was delighted to have been able to attend. Thank you to Assembly Gardens for the invitation.
