Grab the tissues as it gets emotional…Never have I been to a show that’s moved me quite like this one. The absolute classic film, Ghost has been turned into a musical. Firstly I have to say, hats off to the entire team, especially the casting team, as my goodness did they match the musical cast SO well to the actors/actresses in the film. You will be transported to a gripping, deeply emotional & heart aching performance by this incredibly talented cast. Exquisite vocals, brilliant stage presence throughout & extreme talent galore. This musical is not one to be missed!
The storyline of Ghost The Musical is based on a couple named Sam and his beloved girlfriend Molly, who purchase an apartment in New York, when one late night they were walking back home, Sam is tragically murdered. Molly becomes completely lost in herself & purpose in life, but along comes Oda Mae Brown, the fraudulent psychic, who hears Sam is trapped between his world & the next. Sam tries to communicate to his loved one, Molly, through Oda Mae to try and save her from grave danger & figure out who murdered him. A beautiful, deep & emotional story that really tugs at your heartstrings.
Oh my love, my darling...I've hungered for your touch. The song lyrics you will have stuck repeating itself in your head after watching this. I truly struggled holding back the tears watching Ghost The Musical. A truly magical romance turned into a tragedy, complete with a mix of emotions & heartbreak. This performance I felt so deeply & emotionally throughout. The way the show has been portrayed really grips your attention, pulls at your heartstrings & leaves you with a lump in your throat. The show ended with many of the audience in tears & a standing ovation with how beautiful this honestly was, I'm fighting back the tears writing this. I didn't want the performance to end, it was so so wonderful.
An absolute smash hit of a musical that you do not want to miss. Especially if you loved the 1990 film Ghost with the late Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore & Whoopi Goldberg. You can see the performance at Belgrade Theatre in Coventry from Tuesday 22nd October to Saturday 26th October 2024.
*I was kindly invited as press by Belgrade Theatre to review this performance. All my opinions are my own, open & honest. Please refer to my disclaimer for more information.*
